Connection to Country
Helping Hands is a social enterprise providing training and employment pathways for First Nations staff on Worimi land.
The design on the shirts worn by our staff is called The Tree of Knowledge of Worimi and was designed by local Forster artist, Perry Cunningham (Pep).
Our Story
Our story began when Home Modification & Maintenance Services was set up in Forster/Tuncurry in 1989 to create Aboriginal apprenticeships in the building industry. Three years later, Helping Hands was set up to provide home and personal care services.
The two organisations joined in 2015, and today we deliver building and care services in the Great Lakes and Manning area, helping our clients live well at home for as long as possible.
